Osteopathy can offer great results for those seeking immediate care with painful conditions and also for those wishing to invest in long-term health solutions. Treatments are tailored to the individual’s need, regardless of age or condition, my goal is to provide the best medical care whether it be treatment or more appropriate referral.

Osteopathy focuses on health promotion and disease prevention in order to help each person achieve a high level of wellness.

Osteopathy uses conventional medical assessment and techniques when gathering detail during diagnostic procedures. However, the real strength of osteopathy lies within the unique approach to which a patient and the condition are assessed and treated. Each patient is assessed from both a mechanical and functional viewpoint and treatment is based on these findings and patient requirements. Manual treatment methods are applied to suit the needs of the individual patient.

The overall goal is to achieve wellness by restoring balance and flexibility to the whole body.

Osteopathic Consultation £70
Osteopathic Treatments £60

Please note: in order to provide the best consultation ideally I'd be able to see the area of pain and also palpate the area with my hands. This means removal of clothing that covers the direct area of pain and also associated areas that may be involved.
Please read the FAQs section to gain a greater understanding as to why and also examples of when this may be necessary.

01 Case History

Here I will ask questions in order to go from just "pain" to an accurate set of possible diagnoses. The goal is to sift through all the possibilities and have a shortlisted set of potential diagnoses.
It is essential to gather all relevant information regarding each persons' pain, problem or injury, therefore, I include past medical history and medical screening questions.

02 Diagnosis

Here I will examine the relevant areas and attempt to narrow the shortlisted diagnoses down to just one working diagnosis.
I will utilise orthopaedic testing as well as joint, muscle and neural examination through movement analysis and hands on palpation.
This is the part of the consultation whereby the patient will remove appropriate items of clothing so that I can see and palpate the relevant areas involved in the patents' presenting complaint.
Please see FAQs for more information on clothing options.

03 Treatment

Once the working diagnosis and treatment plan has been explained; I then proceed onto treatment. The number of sessions will vary depending on how much requires treatment, however, I aim to keep to 3-4 treatments, often only requiring 2-3 follow ups.
Treatment involves soft and deep tissue techniques, neuromuscular techniques, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilisation and joint manipulation techniques. Technique selection depends on the structures involved and I will always discuss the method of treatment.
